Battle of San Romano - Tempera on wood (182 x 323 cm) by Paolo Uccello
The Florentine forces lead by Niccolò da Tolentino were victorious over the Sienese troops and the alliance lead by the Duke of Milan.
This was one of three paintings to celebrate this victory. One of the other panels is now at the National Gallery in London (England), and the third panel is now at the Louvre Museum in Paris (France).
