Strasbourg Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art

The building of the museum has been conceived by the architect Adrien Fainsilber, who also created the building for the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris. The Museum is located in the Petite France quarter of Strasbourg (France), along the river Ill.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Strasbourg Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art commissioned FAILE to paint some murals outside the museum. The murals are inspired by a poem titled From The Air We Share.

FAILE is the Brooklyn-based artistic collaboration between Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller that started in 1999. They make serigraphs, collage, murals, and installations. They are inspired by pop culture.

A 4-meter high horse sculpture Hortus conclusus, by the Italian artist Mimmo Paladino is placed on the museum's roof.
