Arizona trip sketches

At Heathrow Terminal 3

This first sketch is literally a 5-minute sketch done at Heathrow Airport in London, while waiting for boarding. I love the Pentel brush pen for these quick sketches. No preliminary drawing, I just go for it.

The great thing about technology is that people on their smart phone are totally oblivious of the world around them and make perfect subject for drawing.

While in Arizona, I had some time over the week-end and went for a trek on the trails of the Lost Dutchman State Park (6109 N Apache Trail, Apache Junction, AZ 85119). The ascent to the Platiron was long and sometimes difficult but the view from the top was breathtaking.

After I finished the 3.5 hours trek, I sketched the mountains from the car park.
