You start the visit on the ground floor with the “reading room”, also called the “little blue sitting room”, which communicates with the pantry.
Ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock prints) from Claude Monet’s
collection are dotted around the house. These are prints by Katsushika Hokusai,
Kitagawa Utamaro, and Utagawa Hiroshige.
The studio-sitting room
Monet worked in this studio until 1899 which then became a sitting
room where coffee was served. To paint the Nympheas, Monet used a large studio
where the museum store is now located.
The visit continues on
the first floor.
Monet’s bedroom
Monet’s bedroom was reconstituted in 2013 and features reproductions
of paintings by his friends: Cézanne, Renoir, Signac or Caillebotte.
Blanche Hoschedé-Monet’s bedroom
Blanche lived in Giverny until her death in 1947.
Back on the ground floor, you visit the dining room and lastly
the dining room, which to me is one of the most impressive and personal room in the
whole house. The yellow paint just radiates.
Virtual tour around Monet’s house
I encourage
you to take a Virtual tour around Monet’s house, which is really well done.

Fabulous, I really must go. The house looks wonderful, I love the Japanese woodcut prints. I'd love to see the garden as well.
